Local Clubs

If you have or know of a range or club that should be listed please let us know. We need to know membership requirements, match dates, range accessibility, directions, and contact info. Info on ranges available for people to practice on would be helpful also.
Note:Unless otherwise noted, none of these ranges are open to the public except on match days. Always contact the club administration beforehand to find out about their membership and range use policies. The info and directions below are correct and current at the time posted to the best of our knowledge. It would be wise to contact range/match administration and verify directions and schedule before traveling to the match.

North Tennessee Practical Shooters
Dickson, TN

This club shoots on the weekend (Sat. & Sun.) of the second Saturday every month. Match begins at 9am. For more info and maps to the range visit their web site.

Directions from Nashville: Take I-40 to the Dickson/Hwy46 exit. Turn right onto Hwy 46 and go 4.5 miles and turn left onto East Walnut Street (which is the last left on Hwy 46 before you go under the railroad overpass). Stay on East Walnut for approx. ½ mile and then turn left onto Center Ave. (there is a large church on the left corner). Stay on Center Ave./Hwy 48 for approx. 2 miles and turn right onto West Piney Rd. Go approx. 3 miles and when the road veers sharply to the right it becomes Coon Creek Rd. Go 1.6 miles to the range, which will be on your Left.

MSSA PRACTICAL PISTOL SHOOTERS

1st and 3rd SUNDAYS OF EACH MONTH (Weather Permitting). The 1st Sunday is dedicated to a Shotgun Side-match. The 3rd Sunday is dedicated to a Rifle Side-match. Visit their web site. 

Directions: The club is located in Arlington, Tennessee (just East of Memphis). From I-40 go North on Canada Road (exit #20) until you reach Old Brownsville Road, jog right. The range road is located approximately 1/2 mile on your left.

Held the third Saturday at 7:00 p.m. each month. USPSA Classifications only. All others shoot unclassified. Open and Limited Classes. 25 to 35 shooters. Duty Rig, Revolver and/or Ladies awards if three or more shooters. Three stages of fire, including, at least, one USPSAClassifier. Typically, between 60 and 100 rounds required. Join the many men & women who regularly enjoy one of the fastest growing competitive sports today. 

Directions:We are located just 2/10 of a mile off Interstates 40/75 in Knoxville, Tennessee, within an 8 hour drive of 53% of the population of the United States.
Exit at Lovell Road (Exit #374) and turn North. Come to the first traffic light North of the Interstate and turn right on Lexington (Across from the Waffle House). Go ~ 1/8 of a mile on Lexington to Dutchtown Road (Turn at 1st Left). We are ~1/8 of a mile on your left in a two story Blue-Grey building.

Oak Ridge Practical Shooting Club

Located in eastern TN near Knoxville. They shoot the 1st Sunday of the month and the day before. The match begins at 10:30am (eastern time). Contact Dwight Warren for info:

Directions: Take I-40 to exit 369 (Watt Rd) go north (Flying J Truck Stop will be on your right) 1 mile. Go left at the church , onto Buttermilk Rd. Go half a mile, watch for IPSC sign in sharp left curve. Turn left go up steep driveway and follow signs to the range.

Peaceful Valley Racegunners Association
Located in Southern Indiana about 15 miles north of Louisville, Ky off of I-65. This club is about a two hour and forty five minute drive from Nashville, TN. They shoot on the 2nd Sunday of the month. The match starts at 10am eastern time. Contact Harry Sublett for more info: Tel # is 502-543-9247.

Directions: From Nashville, take I-65 north into southern Indiana. Get off at exit 7 (Hamburg exit) and turn left at the end of the exit ramp. Go approximately 4 miles along route 60. The entrance to the range is on your left. The sign will say, "Silver Creek Conservation Club". Make a left into the club and follow the road back behind and past the club house and down a dirt road till you get to the pistol bay’s.

Dixie Practical Shooters
Located a few miles south of Birmingham Alabama. They shoot on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month. Their matches begin at 12 noon central time. Contact Derrill Dunkling for more info. His Tel # is 205-436-4519 or call directly to the range at 205-744-2600.

Directions: From Nashville, take I-65 south to I59/20 South. Get off at exit 115 and go WEST on Allison Bonnet Memorial Drive to the 3rd red light (RACETRACK gas station on the corner). Turn right onto Pleasant Grove Rd. Go to 2nd red light (Chevron Gas station will be on your right), go straight through 2nd light approx. 1.5 miles. FOP Range sign will be on your right. Turn right at the sign and then go to the left past private residential homes to the range gate. Follow road down to parking area. PLEASE DRIVE SLOWLY PAST THESE HOMES AND ON THE RANGE ROAD.

Kentucky Association of Practical Shooters

Match day is the 4th Sunday of each month, Feb. thru Nov. No match in Dec. or Jan. Signup between 9am and 3pm. Shooting starts at 10am.We normally have three pistol stages totaling 60 to 80 rounds including one classifier. We also run a side match which is not included in the match results. Side match alternates month to month between shotgun and rifle with 22 rimfire occasionally.
Match fees are $10.00 for members and $15.00 for nonmembers. Reshoots for all are $7.00 or $9.00 if you want the second classifier reported. The sidematch is $5.00 with a 40% payback distributed among the first three places. The range is located 5 mi. west of Bardstown, KY off US62. Driving time from Nashville is about 3 hrs.,
3 1/2 from Clarksville, and 3 1/2 from Knoxville.

Directions:From Nashville, take I65 north to exit 94 (Elizabethtown), turn right and go east on US62 approx. 15 mi. At the 10 mi. marker, turn right onto KY733(wait for the 10 mi. marker, there's another 733 intersection about halfway there). Go 2 mi. and turn right on Bennett's Lane. Go 1/2 mi. and turn right into first driveway past creek. From Knoxville, take I75 north to Lexington and follow the signs to the airport (Newtown Pike to New Circle Road to Versailles Road). Go 2 mi. past the airport and take Bluegrass Parkway west about 60 mi. to US31E (Bardstown, Hodgenville). Turn right and go north on US31E about 3 mi. to a stop sign and turn left on US62. Go west on US62 about 5 mi. and turn left on KY733. Go 2 mi. and turn right on Bennett's Lane. Go 1/2 mi. and turn
right into the first driveway past the creek.
Be sure to call Sat. evening for range conditions. Our little creek can get kinda wild on short notice.
