GRATEFUL DEAD COMPLETE RECORD REVIEWS

A Note About the Reviews: Many of these reviews were originally written for the book Aesthetics of the Grateful Dead. Some of the references reflect what was going on with the critics and the Dead circa 1990 and may be a little lost on newer Dead fans. Hunter's lyrics were dealt with in a separate chapter in the book, so some of the reviews contain only brief lyric comments. There are more excerpts from the book at our San Francisco Music Chronicle homepage and anyone wishing to order a book can still do so with our Order Request.
